Each month members of the Berkeley Temple congregation gather together to work on various housekeeping and maintenance projects at the Temple. The informal atmosphere of a “work party” provides new and old members alike with the opportunity to work side by side to serve Paramahansa Yogananda's work and meet other SRF devotees. We invite you to join us for part or all of the day. No special skills are required.
Work parties begin with meditation in the chapel led by an SRF minister or a lay disciple from 9:30 to 10:00 a.m. Work on various projects begins at 10:00 a.m. There is a brief period of meditation before lunch, from 12:45 to 1:00 p.m. A delicious vegetarian lunch is served from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m.
